Faces of africa

Doris Weilandt, Dipl. Kunsthistorikerin

"Susen Reuter shows women in a moment of self-forgetfulness. The intimate situation in which the photographer let us take part lasts only for a few seconds. Impressive: the African woman shown in the profile, whose beauty is particularly emphasized by the hair hidden in the headscarf. She touches us just like the other market woman by the deep humanity that speaks from both faces.
